A card game about the Qur'an has to be right before it is allowed to be fun. Before a card is printed, every fact on it is checked, and a card that cannot be made sound is left out.
[The name of the teacher or imam who reviewed the cards, if they can be named, and a line from them.]
Fun at the table, quiet for the Qur'an, and these eight things underneath. They are written down here so that you can hold us to them.
Intention first
We made this so that a family sits together around the Qur'an. Every decision is weighed against that, and what does not serve it is left out.
Allah at the centre, not us
We serve Him by serving the people at the table. So nothing is ever played over a recitation, and a game is short enough to fit between two prayers.
Work like a gardener
Our part is the work: careful, patient, a little better each season. The result belongs to Allah. So we do not chase numbers, and you will find no countdown timers, no pressure and no tricks here.
More with less
One game, made well, is worth more than ten made in a hurry. There are no adverts, no accounts, and nothing that follows you around. One phone is enough.
Provision is a trust
What comes in through this game is a trust. The price is plain, with no tricks, and 5 kr from every box sold is set aside for sadaqah before anything else.
Three generations, one table
Barakah lives in a family that sits together. Every player picks a pile at their own depth, so a grandparent, a parent and a child play the same game.
Built for what outlasts us
A game that helps one child keep one surah is knowledge that goes on benefiting. That is the return we are working for.
The Prophet ﷺ as the model
He ﷺ taught with gentleness. So a wrong answer is corrected kindly, a pearl once taken is never taken away, and a beginner is as welcome at the table as a hafiz.
These principles are shaped by The Barakah Effect, by Mohammed Faris, a book about working for barakah rather than for hustle. The words here are ours, and so are any mistakes.
Sadaqah in every box
It is a fixed amount, set aside from each box before anything else, whatever the box ends up costing to make. A fixed amount is a promise that can be kept, and checked.
The box is not on sale yet. When it is, this page will name the charity and start the count.
A question, a card you think is wrong, a mosque or a class that wants to play: write to salaam@tahaddicards.com. Calling Tahaddi on us is allowed.
